EPA RRP Renovator Initial Course (English)
Why should you take this course?
Because if you have a firm or are an independent contractor, the EPA requires that you must use a certified renovators who has successfully completed this training course, and the course must have been provided by an EPA-Approved accredited training provider. The EPA requirement is applicable to all firms and independent contractors who perform perform renovation, repair and/or painting services that disturbs lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978.
Another reason to take this course is because you must be aware that after April 22, 2010 federal law requires renovation firms (including sole proprietorships) to be certifed and requires individuals to be trained in the use of lead-safe work practices.
